Supply Chain Analyst

About the Role

Vertex Polymer is hiring a Supply Chain Analyst to support planning, inventory visibility, and supplier performance across our polymer materials network. In this role, you will turn operational data into clear recommendations that help us keep production supplied, reduce excess inventory, and improve on-time delivery. You will partner closely with procurement, operations, finance, and commercial teams. What you will do: • Build and maintain demand, inventory, and supplier performance reports • Analyze lead times, safety stock, and fill rates for key raw materials and finished goods • Identify bottlenecks, stock risk, and cost opportunities across the supply network • Support S&OP preparation with clean data packs, variance notes, and action tracking • Partner with procurement on supplier scorecards, OTIF trends, and exception management • Improve data quality in ERP / planning tools and document standard operating processes • Present findings to stakeholders in plain language with recommended next steps This is a remote role with occasional travel to Nashville as needed for planning meetings or site alignment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Industrial Engineering, Operations, or a related field • 2 to 5 years of experience in supply chain analysis, planning, logistics, or procurement analytics • Strong Excel skills (lookups, pivots, scenario modeling) and comfort with ERP data • Experience with inventory planning concepts such as lead time, safety stock, and service level • Clear written and verbal communication with cross-functional teams • Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize when multiple plants or product lines need attention Nice to have: • Experience in chemicals, polymers, manufacturing, or industrial distribution • Familiarity with NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems • Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or SQL for reporting • APICS / ASCM certification (CSCP, CPIM, or equivalent)
